T.R.A.D.E. in Mindanao

Teach to Recover And Disciple to Evangelize

Mindanao Map.png

Mindanao is the second largest of the Philippine Islands and is a strategic center for reaching the Southern Philippines.

There are 18 indigenous groups on the island that distinguish themselves by language and culture.  These groups generally still live as their ancestors did, with most of them still holding to animistic religion.  Mindanao is also known to be a stronghold for Islam in the Philippines.

The highest mountain peak, Mt. Apo, which means "grandfather of all mountains" is 3144 meters high and is considered to be sacred by many of the people living in that area.

Most of the people in and around the area where T.R.A.D.E. serves, has no source of income, education or real hop for the future.  However, they are among the most hospitable, polite, caring and giving people in the world.  They have nothing but they will give it to you anyway.

We don't believe that it is a coincidence that God based T.R.A.D.E. in the city of Edith's childhood home, Kimaya, which means DIVINE.

We believe He truly does have a divine plan and purpose for this place and we are honored to play our part in seeing His Kingdom come to Mindanao and beyond.
