T.R.A.D.E. Founders
Teach to Recover And Disciple to Evangelize
John & Edith Stanley

Hello family and friends. I'd like to share my testimony and how T.R.A.D.E. Ministry got started.
1983
When I arrived in the USA, I said to myself, "I will NEVER go back to live in the Philippines because it is too poor, too hot and there's no washer or dryer".
I became a Register Nurse and became a workaholic.
I didn't know the Lord then.
I married and alcholic, drug addict and an atheist. Our marriage was BAD. However, we did have two wonderful children.
1993
I came to know the Lord and started praying for my husband.
After several years of praying, he became a believer, a minister and a drug and alcohol counselor.
2007 - 2008
I got sick and UNABLE to work and drive for 9 months. All tests were done and I remained sick.
During the 9 months, I spent most of my time praying, reading and studying the Bible.
Around the 7th month of my sickness, I countinued to pray. During this time, the Lord revealed T.R.A.D.E. (Teach to Recover And Disciple to Evangelize) Ministry, to me and being a missionary to my country.
All was confirmed through my husband. I countinued to pray and my Pastor advised me to pray for the Lord's timing.
On the 9th month of my illness, I was completely healed. To me. "MIRACULOUSLY"
2008
I did not go back to my nursing job. Instead, I volunteered full time for many years and later as a paid worker at our church. I continued to pray for His perfect timing and for us to go to the Philippines on the advise of our Pastor.
2009
While volunteering at church, I started taking folks from our church to the Philippines for mission trips.
2008 - 2018
I have learned and had so much training about different ministries inside and outside the church. I became the Assimilation Pastor at our church.
Around April 2018 our Pastor released me from the church and sent us to be full-time missionaries in the Philippines.
2019
In October, my husband passed away due to cancer. He was in so much pain. I thank the Lord for His grace, His mercy, and His strength. I took several months off then continued to serve Him through T.R.A.D.E.
Also in October, the Lord provided a gorgeous building that was completely paid for. It is being used for so many things such as:
Bible Studies
Church Services
Prayer Meetings
A Place for the Community to go in Case of a Disaster
Dental Clinic
Study Area for our College Students
Meeting Area for Government Officials
Youth Camp
Conferences
Sabbatical
Computer Room
A Place to Stay for our Missionaries who come to join us in our Mission to fulfill the Great Commission
T.R.A.D.E. Ministry is Growing
The people are testifying and declaring the Glory, the Goodness and the Love of God in their lives.
I pray that someday you will be able to come and visit us and be a part of what God is doing with T.R.A.D.E. in Kimaya Magsaysay Philippines.
P.S.
Remember when I wrote, I would NEVER go back because there's no washer or dryer? Well the Lord provided it and I did not even ask for it.
We prayed that we would have a building for our Bible studies and sewing machines, BUT He gave us sooo much more than we asked for. One of our Pastors said, "Edith, if the Lord wants it BIG, then He will provide for it". And He did.
I have said this from the beginning that T.R.A.D.E. is HIS Ministry, not mine. I am one of the many people that He called to be a part of this Ministry. It is a fertile ground.
He knows that we need partners. Thank you all!
