The Mercy Ministry is meant to show God's mercy and kindness to the poor through strategic construction projects.
New Homes
Construction for needy families are supervised by a paid carpenter. However, the homeowner is expected to participate in the construction in some capacity. The Chosen Generation youth group also assist in the home building.
Roof Repairs
Depending upon the extent of the repairs, the youth of the Ministry do the repair work under the supervision of our carpenter and with the help of the homeowner.
Home Additions
Additions can involve installing concrete floors, repairing holes in the floor or wall or add a new room. The costs are different for each project depending upon the material and labor needed. The homeowner is expected to participate if possible.
Community Projects
We have built two bathing areas for one of the barrios, Gahub. Before building these bathing areas, people bathed in the open around the community water pump. After our help, the men of Christ the Redeemer Church in Gahub built the second of these projects themselves.
