Teach to Recover And Disciple to Evangelize
The Life Skills Ministry provides vocational training for poor families.
Sewing
We provide teachers and materials for these vocational projects. Participants are taught to sew backpacks and school uniforms while also learning about the use of patterns and how to do alterations. Workers are paid per product produced.
Live Stock Management
We provide teaching on how to raise pigs, goats and chickens as well as information on how to make a profit through breeding and selling them. Through this program participants are given an animal to raise.
Manicure | Pedicure
We provide professional teaching on the basic skills necessary for earning a living. Upon graduation, participants are given a start-up pack with beginning tools and materials.
Barbering
We provide professional teaching on basic skills for cutting adult and children hair with enough proficiency to earn a living. Upon completion of the program, participants are given a start-up package.
Dental
Micro Loans
Eligible entrepreneurs are loaned a small amount of money to begin a small business. Loans are usually about $25 to $75. We negotiate a repayment schedule with no interest charged. As the participant repays the loan they are also establishing another funding source for themselves. If they need to borrow additional funds they borrow from their original start-up fund.
